Carnaby Club Creche Terms and Conditions

Our Carnaby Club Creche provides child minding while parents/carers enjoy our facilities. As a condition of entry, please read the following Creche Terms and Conditions before attending your child’s first creche booking.
Conditions of entry
Entry to the Cockburn ARC: All patrons must comply with the Cockburn ARC’s conditions of entry.

To ensure a high-quality service to families and to meet unlicensed crèche regulation requirements, parents/guardians must maintain responsibility for their child and are required to:
 
  • Remain in the centre at all times and be able to attend to the child’s needs if required.
  • Maximum stay of 2 hours for regular bookings and a daily maximum of 3 hours for ARC members only. A maximum total of 12 hours child minding is permitted over a weekly period.
  • Create an account for the child via the Members Portal prior to attending and keep all personal information updated.
  • Immediately return to the crèche if requested by centre staff.
  • Sign the child in and out on the daily attendance sheet for every attended session. 
  • Children will only be discharged to the carer signing them in unless prior arrangement has been made with the Creche Senior and written authorisation is given. Creche attendants may request to check photo ID upon sign-out. Only persons aged 18 years and over that has been approved by the primary carer can collect a child.
  • Inform staff if their child has any allergies or medical conditions, add this on the child’s profile via the members portal.
  • Stay at home if the child is unwell, including showing cold/flu symptoms such as a runny nose and a cough.
  • Inform staff if the child has or has had an illness.
  • Clearly mark all the child's belongings with their name, including snacks.
  • Inform staff if their child requires food/bottle/sleep at a particular time by completing the Parent Notes form upon arrival.
  • No peanut, nut products or whole eggs to be brought as snacks
  • Prams or strollers must be supplied for all children under two years, as well as nappies and wipes.
  • Ensure a hat is packed and sunscreen is applied.
 
Children must behave appropriately while attending the Cockburn ARC Creche and not engage in disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate conduct. If a child demonstrates intolerable behaviours that presents risk to themselves, ARC property, staff or other children, parents/guardians will be notified to collect the child immediately and future bookings may be refused. 
 
Bookings and payments

Bookings are made online via members portal accessible via our website or via the Cockburn ARC app.

Creche bookings are open on the member’s portal up-to 12 hours prior to opening. On the day walk-in bookings may be available, however are subject to availability. 

Creche bookings are strictly limited to the booking purchased. We offer 2-hour bookings for all patrons with a 3-hour booking available for ARC Members only. Creche session bookings run every 15 minutes (i.e 8.45am, 9am, 9.15am). The Cockburn ARC reserves the right to charge a late fee upon sign-out to those who arrive late.

Creche sessions do not operate on public holidays.

Cancellations
The Cockburn ARC does not provide refunds.

Booking cancellations and modifications are made via the member portal. Creche bookings can be cancelled up to 24 hours before the booked session. A Creche pass credit will be issued for future bookings.

Credit can be provided for a missed creche booking due to illness if a medical certificate is provided within 2 days. Credit will only apply if we are notified in advance of a session being missed. Refunds do not apply.   

If a session is cancelled by Cockburn ARC, you will receive product credit for the cancelled class. 
Signing in and Out

Children must be signed-in on the creche daily attendance sheet before entering the creche facility and signed before when leaving.

Allergies and Medical Conditions

The Carnaby Club Creche must be informed of any allergies or medical conditions by adding the condition on the child’s profile via our online portal. A Creche Medical Disclosure Form must also be completed and provided to the creche.

EpiPens and asthma puffers/spacers are the only medication that will be administered by staff in an emergency. Please give staff your child’s EpiPen or puffer each time you visit the crèche

Should your child fall ill while in Carnaby's Club Crèche, you'll be contacted immediately.

To protect all children and staff, Carnaby's Club Crèche does not permit children with an infectious illness to attend. Such medical conditions requiring exclusion include:
  • measles
  • mumps
  • chicken pox
  • diarrhoea
  • vomiting
  • head lice
  • conjunctivitis
  • ring worm/tinea
  • gastroenteritis
  • hand, foot and mouth

A medical certificate will be required before a child can return to Carnaby's Club Crèche after an infectious illness.
Immunisations
We recommend immunising your child against preventable diseases to minimise the risk of contracting an infection. Parents are advised that non immunised children will be excluded from care in the event of an infection outbreak. If there has been a confirmed case of such disease, notification will be clearly displayed on the front door.
 
Lost property
The Cockburn ARC takes no responsibility for any lost or stolen items while using our facilities. Lost property that has not been claimed within 2 weeks of attending the creche will be discarded or donated to charity.
 
Emergency Evacuation
In the event of an emergency evacuation, our staff will:
  • safely move all children from Carnaby's Club Crèche to the Cockburn ARC muster point following our evacuation procedure.
  • parents/guardians will be required to sign their child out when safe to do so at the centre’s muster point.
Licence
Our creche operates as an unlicensed venue under the Children Services Crèche Regulation WA 2006. This service is not an approved education and care service and as such does not provide childcare nor require a provider and service approval.
