School Holiday Program

Kids Get Active is the ultimate school holiday program for kids aged 5 to 12. Running during the School Holiday breaks, it's all about keeping kids busy and active, for all abilities and skill levels.

Each day is led by expert coaches and includes a mix of exciting indoor, outdoor and aquatic games, sports, and activities that help boost your child's confidence, fitness, and skills - all while having an absolute ball!

Program days run from 8am - 5pm, with drop off from 8am-8:30am, and pick up from 3:30pm-5pm, for $69.50 per day.

Program Activity Guide 

Please note that activities may be subject to change and are updated for every program. Only children 7-12 years will  participate in Aquatic activities. There will be other activities running at this time for different ages.

Here's a snapshot of what we get up to:

Week 1:

New to the ARC? 

1. Create a free guest account for yourself on our portal. You'll be able to use this account for future bookings at the ARC.

Visit Cockburn ARC Portal

• Select Join Now
• Select Free Account
• Select Create Free Account
• Fill in your personal details (not your child's)

2. Add each child to your profile.

• Log into the portal 
• Go to 'Your Children' 
• Go to 'Add Child'
• Select 'Free Account / Visit Passes', then 'Next'
• Select 'Create Free Account', then 'Next'
• Add your details - leaving the email field blank & providing an Emergency Contact other than yourself
• Select 'Create Account'

3. Book and Pay

• Log into the portal
• Go to 'Book'  
• Go to 'Single Sessions + Creche + Kids Get Active'
• Go to the Children's Program dropdown and select your childs age group:

5 - 6 years
7 - 8 years
9 - 12 years

• Select the dates you are after on the calendar using the arrows
• Select a class and click on 'Book Now'. You will then be taken through to our payment module.
• Your booking will be cancelled if you do not pay at the time.

•  Go to 'Book' 
•  Go to 'Single Sessions + Creche + Kids Get Active'
•  Go to the Children's Program dropdown and select your child's age group:

• Select the calendar dates you are after using the arrows
• Select a class and click on 'Book Now'. You will then be taken through to our payment module.
• Your booking will be cancelled if you do not pay at the time.

General/bookings: 

• The Cockburn ARC Kids Get Active Holiday Program operates during school holidays and each session is booked on an individual day basis.  

• Upfront payment for each session is required at time of booking. If fees are not paid, your booking will be cancelled, and your child will not be able to participate in the program.  

• Parent/guardians are not required to be present for the duration of the sessions but must always be on call in case the ARC needs to get in contact.  Parents must be available to pick-up upon request. 

• The Kids Get Active is a license-exempt program and therefore the Child Care Rebate does not apply.  

• Sessions do not operate on public holidays. 

• If children are picked up after 5:00pm, a $30.00 late pick up fee will be charged for the first 30 minutes of lateness, and $30 accumulatively applied every 30 minutes thereafter. The late pick-up fee must be paid upon sign-out. 

• Cockburn ARC may change the program structure, content, or equipment at any time.  

• Children should be medically and physically able to participate in physical activity and understand instructions. The parent/guardians accept the inherent risks of undertaking exercise on their behalf. 

• Children and parents enter the Facility and surrounds and/or participate in programs, utilise the equipment and/or take advantage of services offered by Cockburn ARC  at their own risk.  

• Children must behave appropriately while participating in a Cockburn ARC program and will not engage in disruptive, dangerous, or inappropriate conduct. If the child demonstrates intolerable behaviours that presents risk to themselves, ARC property or others, parents/guardians will be notified to collect the child immediately and future bookings may be refused.  

Medical Conditions/Allergies  

• Parents/guardians are to submit a Medical Disclosure Form and a copy of the child’s action plan for any illness/allergy/condition.  

• Cockburn ARC are to be notified of any medical conditions and/or allergies prior to attending Kids Get Active.  

• Parents agree to abide by any program specific guidelines provided by Cockburn ARC Children’s Programs.  

• In case of emergency, parents/guardians give Cockburn ARC staff permission to seek medical emergency services and call an ambulance if required.  

• Parents/guardians understand that ARC staff are not required to be trained in handling disabilities outside of standard behavioural training. All staff are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check.  

  Cancellations: 

• City of Cockburn does not provide refunds.  

• If you need to cancel a Kids Get Active booking you may do so within the client portal up to 24 hours beforehand. A Kids Get Active product credit will be issued to be used for future bookings.  Credit cannot be issued after this.  

• A minimum of 24 hours notice is required for all cancellations to avoid an attendance charge. 

• Credit can be provided for a missed class due to illness if a medical certificate is provided within 2 days of a missed class. Credit will only apply if we are notified in advance of a class being missed. Refunds do not apply.  

• Cancellations requested within 24 hours will not be accepted (unless approved on medical or compassionate grounds). Cancellations with fewer than 24 hours notice will not qualify for a credit or refund.  

• Make up sessions are not availabile for missed sessions without a medical certificate. 

• If a session is cancelled by Cockburn ARC, you will receive product credit for the cancelled class.
