Pilates

Pilates exercises are practiced with the  principles of centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow. It develops core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina, breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core.

  • Pilates is an exercise system that was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates as rehabilitation for prisoners of war. Joseph Pilates was years ahead of his time creating a method of total body conditioning. 
  • These days Pilates is beneficial for everyone, from the elite athlete to the complete beginner. It is not only beneficial in fitness, but also in rehabilitation. Strengthening the core and improving postural awareness helps in the prevention of back, neck and joint pain and improves flexibility alignment and posture.
  • You will leave this session with increased energy levels, a clear, focused mind and a strong flexible body. Standing taller, sitting straighter and moving with better balance and coordination 
  • Pilates also aids in the elimination of toxins, digestion improves and metabolic rate increases.
