Pilates

Pilates is an exercise system that was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates as rehabilitation for prisoners of war. Joseph was years ahead of his time creating a method of total body conditioning. These days it's beneficial for everyone, from the elite athlete to the complete beginner. It is not only beneficial in fitness, but also in rehabilitation.

Pilates exercises are practiced with the principles of centering, concentration, control, precision, breath and flow. It develops core strength, flexibility, balance and stamina, breathing patterns and spinal alignment while engaging the deep muscles of the core.

  • Helps in the prevention of back, neck and joint pain and improves flexibility alignment and posture. 
  • Strengthens the core and improves postural awareness
  • After consistent practices, Pilates leaves you standing taller, sitting straighter, moving more efficiently and also improves balance and coordination 
  • Aids in the elimination of toxins through sweat, improves digestion and increases metabolic rate.
