School holiday clinics

Our school holiday swim clinics are a three day program designed to support children developing key swim skills. The April program is running across one week, from Tuesday 14 April, to Friday 17 April.

Ages: 4 - 16 years

Cost:  $79.60 to take part in a four day clinic - which covers pool entry, the instructor for each session, and two spectators.

Each clinic is led by a qualified & experienced Swim ARCademy instructor, based in a group setting. Clinics are available for both Swim ARCademy members and non-members.

Types of Clinics

The Commit clinic focuses on developing arm techniques for Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Survival Backstroke. Swimmers will build strong, coordinated movement with kicks and gain confidence in the 25m pool.

Times: (45 min session)

  • 9:00am – 9:45am 
  • 9:45am- 10:30am
  • 10:30am-11:15am 
  • 11:15am-12:00pm

Class size: 4 students 
Suitability: best suited to Swim ARCademy Commit level, or Education Department Levels 4/5. 

The Drive clinic focuses on mastering the art of breathing and timing through Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Survival Backstroke, as well as introducing Butterfly stroke. 

Times (45min session)

  • 9:00am – 9:45am 
  • 9:45am- 10:30am
  • 10:30am-11:15am 
  • 11:15am-12:00pm

Class size: 6 students 
Suitability: best suited Swim ARCademy Drive level, or Education Department Levels 6/7. 

The Stroke Extension clinic focuses on refining technique and endurance. Swimmers should be confident in all strokes, including Butterfly, as we’ll work on polishing stroke technique and distance swimming.

  • 9:00am – 9:45am 
  • 9:45am- 10:30am
  • 10:30am-11:15am 
  • 11:15am-12:00pm

Class size:  10 students

Suitability: best suited to Swim ARCademy Excel - Graduate levels, or Education Department Levels 7+ (need to be competent in butterfly)

The Breaststroke & Fly Extension clinic helps swimmers learn and improve breaststroke and butterfly, which are our more challenging strokes.

We focus on breaking the movements down into easy steps so swimmers can build confidence, improve their technique, and understand the timing needed for each stroke. If your swimmer hasn’t quite mastered these stokes yet, this clinic is for you.

  • 9:45am- 10:30am
  • 10:30am-11:15am 
  • 11:15am-12:00pm

Class size: 6 students

Suitability: best suited to Swim ARCademy Drive and above levels, or Education Department: 7 + (need to know basics of butterfly and breaststroke)

If your child is over 12 years old, you can leave the facility during the program. If they're 11 years old or younger, you'll need to stay during the clinic as per our Watch Around Water policy.
