School holiday clinics

The next school holiday clinics will run throughout the April School Holidays.

Our school holiday swim clinics are a three day program designed to support children developing key swim skills. The summer program is running across two weeks. 

  • Week 1: Tuesday 6 - Thursday 8 January - Build, Commit & Stroke Clinic
  • Week 2: Tuesday 13 - Thursday 15 January - Carnival Clinic (running in the second week only)

Ages: 4 - 16 years

Cost:  $59.70 to take part in a three day clinic - which covers pool entry, the instructor for each session, and two spectators.

Each clinic is led by a qualified & experienced Swim ARCademy instructor, based in a group setting. Clinics are available for both Swim ARCademy members and non-members.

Types of Clinics

The Commit clinic focuses on developing arm techniques for Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Survival Backstroke. Swimmers will build strong, coordinated movement with kicks and gain confidence in the 25m pool.

Times: (45 min session)

  • 9:00am – 9:45am 
  • 9:50am- 10:35am
  • 10:40am-11:25am 
  • 11:30am-12:15pm 

Class size: 4 students 
Suitability: This level is best suited to Swim ARCademy Commit level, or Education Department Levels 4/5. 

The Stroke clinic focuses on refining technique and endurance. Swimmers should be confident in all strokes, including Butterfly, as we’ll work on polishing stroke technique and distance swimming.

Times (1hr session):

  • 9:00am-10:00am 
  • 10:00am – 11:00am

Class size: 10 students 
Suitability: This level is best suited to Swim ARCademy Excel - Graduate levels, or Education Department Levels 7+ 

The Carnival Coaching Clinic is ideal for kids preparing for next year’s swimming carnivals or wanting to refine their stroke technique to progress to the next level. We’ll cover all strokes and dive entries to help them feel confident and ready for carnival competition time.

Times (1hr session): 

  • 9am-10am 
  • 10am-11am

Class size: 10

Suitability: This level is best suited to SwimARCademy Excel and Graduate levels, or Education Department levels 7+.

If your child is over 12 years old, you can leave the facility during the program. If they're 11 years old or younger, you'll need to stay during the clinic as per our Watch Around Water policy.
