As the ARC expansion continues, the waterplay area will be closed over the school holidays.
The Waterplay area, including the tipping bucket, slide and water features will be closed from Tuesday 2 April until Tuesday 23 April.
This coincides with the installation of hoarding and scaffolding within the aquatics area as a part of the centre's expansion project, which will limit walk through space and spectator access temporarily.
This initial phase of the ARC's Evolution, allows for new administration offices to be completed and has already seen the planned moving of the ARC's reception to a temporary location in the internal street. Once these new office spaces are functional, the works will shift to the level one health club space.
At the same time, while access is already limited, necessary maintenance works will be undertaken on the waterplay pool and structure.
While we apologise that during this time there will be disruption to patrons, it is planned that by combining these two works during April and May will minimise ongoing impacts at a later time in the year.
The learn to swim pool located nearby the waterplay area will be available for leisure use during the Swim ARCademy shut down period over Easter, and outside scheduled class from that time. The 25m and 50m pools will all be available for recreation and member use during these periods.
We look forward to welcoming patrons back to the waterplay area once works are complete.

Why is the waterplay area closing? This is to accommodate necessary works to the play structure, roof and bucket. It will also coincide with the installation of hoarding for works as part of the ARC expansion project.
When will this take place? The play centre will be closed from Tuesday 2 April until Tuesday 23 April.
Why is this happening in school holidays? It was decided to undertake these works to align with the expansion project to minimise customer disruption. Conducting the works in Autumn instead of Summer was also deemed to have a reduced impact on our patrons.
