- SAFETY. Missing any part of a warm up can result in serious injuries and you are unable to discuss with group fitness instructor any injuries / medical problems.
- Interrupts class and instructor.
- Most classes require setting up equipment, being late to a class doesn’t allow enough time to set up.
- Causes delays – Our group fitness timetable runs back to back, therefore we cannot afford any delays that may inconvenience other patrons.
If a new member is unable to book into a GF class within the first 24 hour of joining, they will need to ask reception to book them in.When a member books into a GF class they will receive a confirmation email. The below steps are taken to book in.
This is THE ONLY exception that reception staff are able to book someone into a class over the phone.
This is because the members online access takes 24 hours to set up.

Members will need to login to their member portal > My Bookings > and cancel the class from this screen.
Alternatively they can contact the centre and we can cancel them over the phone.
Body Pump, Boxing and MetaPWR.Group Fitness air conditioning
Why? They are unable to do GF weight bearing classes
The Air Conditioning in the group fitness rooms are automatically set around the class timetable. However the air con can be manually turned on via pressing the on button on the A/C control panel. If it is manually turned on it will stay on for an hour. The air con cannot be manually turned off, pressing the on button again will reset the 1 hour again.
Group Fitness for Casuals
Can i do a GF class casually and how old do I have to be?
Yes. We allow casuals to book into the GF class 1 hour before. You will need a ticket from reception to hand to the GF instructor.I want to do more than one class in the day.

To attend a GF class you will need to be 16 years and over.
We also have a limit on class numbers so once the class is booked out we are unable to book in casuals.
You can purchase a centre pass (if over 18 ONLY) that will allow you to do as many GF classes in that day as you like. It also allows gym access, aquatic entrance- spa, sauna, steam room & WW pool) and a locker for the day.Can I buy a GF pass for my friend who is on the way here?
As casuals can only book into the GF class 1 hour before you will need to head to reception to book into any future classes on that day. please be advised we are unable to pre book casuals in and the class may book out.
The patron must be in the centre to purchase a group fitness class pass. We cannot book them in or reserve their spot in the class over the phone.
Casual class passes cannot be purchased on behalf of another patron. We need to verify that the person attending the class is 16 years or older.
Companions attending GF classes / Aqua Classes
How to book in a companion I am doing an aqua class in the hydro pool can I stay in the Wellness area afterwards.
Companions are able to attend a group fitness class for free with a patron if the patron provides their current companion card.
If the patron has forgetten their companion card please follow relevant procedure.
Aqua Classes - The companion does not require a ticket for the class. Sight the valid companion card and allow companion entry into the aqua class.
- If the member/patron does not require direct assistance from the companion, the companion is able to sit on the benches and assist the member if/when needed.
Unfortunatey no. If you would like access to the Wellness lounge also then you will need to purchase a centre pass.
