Under 16 years details
Children under the age of 16 years are only allowed to access the warm water pool under the following conditions:
- Those in Cockburn ARC approved programs in the Wellness area e.g. swimming lessons and waterbubs sessions.
- Those undertaking specific injury rehabilitation exercises that require a hot water pool. A letter from a doctor or allied health professional outlining the reasons for aquatic therapy is required to be provided to staff prior to attending Cockburn ARC to undertake the rehabilitation exercises. (see user files/notes)
- Those with a disability that require a hot water pool. A letter from a doctor or allied health professional outlining the reasons for aquatic therapy is required to be provided to staff prior to attending Cockburn ARC to undertake the aquatic therapy.
Wheelchair access and a hoist is available, however patrons must provide their own sling for hygiene reasons.
Wristbands must be worn at all times.
Child under 16 years old pays $8 and the accompanying adult pays nothing.
- Band both the child and the adult.
Under 16 yrs PGM Account- Once a medical certificate is supplied a guest account will need to be set up in PG.
- The physio/parent or patron can complete the guest register form on the IPAD to create a guest account.
- Once the profile has been made, open up the profile and write in Data > Notes tab "Allowed access through to the warm water pool as authorised by medical professional".
- The medical certificate will be added to the "user files" for future reference. (Supervisor to complete)
Siblings - Medical Certificate circumstancesIf a child with a medical note has a sibling wishing to use the warm pool with them, they are able to. They simply pay the usual fee for their entrance into the warm water pool. The sibling pay the Wellness Concession rate $12.60.
HoistThe hoist attachment:
- Patrons who require the hoist need to complete a waiver form. It can be completed with the Duty Managers.
- Once the patron/carer completes the form the Duty Manager needs to sign off, hand over the controls and the patron can make use of it.
Spa, Sauna, Steam infoSteam room heating is 45 degrees and has a maximum capacity of 16 people.
Spa is heated to 37.5 degrees, 0.9 metres deep and has a maximum capacity of 32 people.
Sauna has a maximum capacity of 12 people.
Please note the following conditions of use:
- The spa pool is a heated water environment. If you are concerned that it may adversely affect your health it is your responsibility to seek medical advice.
- Never put your head under the water.
- Children under the age of sixteen (16) are not permitted to use the spa, sauna or steam room.
- It’s recommended that you use the spa for no longer than 15 minutes.
- Wristbands must be worn in this area.
- Pregnant women are advised not to use the spa, sauna or steam room.
- Hair /skin treatments, newspapers, paper products are not permitted.
- Please shower before entering the spa, sauna or steam room.
- Do not pour water on the sauna elements or rocks.
- Please sit on a towel whilst in the sauna.
- Do not use scented oils in the sauna or steam room.
