Concession Card

These are the accepted card types:

Physical card or digital wallet only.
Student cards must be dated with expiry or current year sticker.
PG notes confirming concession cards on file.

Digital Concession Cards

In order to charge concession rates, the card must be physically present or displayed through Centrelink digital wallet.

How to view the card:

The card will drop down from the top of the screen. Swipe the screen up or down to display the front and the back of the card
If the customer has more than one concession or health care card, swipe the screen left or right to switch between cards.

Before accepting a digital concession card, please check:

That the customer is logged into the official Centrelink website or Express plus Centrelink mobile app. Not just a screen shot.
The card must be in date (cards will still show in their digital wallet for up to 28 days after it expires). If the concession card is no longer active, EXPIRED will appear across the screen. The customer can reapply for a concession card.
If the concession is for a customer with a companion card, please ensure the names match on both cards.

We DO NOT accept:

Photocopied cards
Photos of card
Screenshots of card
Expired cards

Concession Card not present

Full price is charged.
Advise that we will need to charge the full price today. To be eligible for the discount we do require the card to be valid and physically present/digital wallet to be shown.

If no card present you can create a PGM account and allow them entry at discounted rate ONCE and you must add notes that you’ve allowed them in at a discount rate without sighting proof of concession and you made the patron aware that they must have the card with them next time.

Expired Student cards

We allow a grace period for University/TAFE student's who have not received their current year sticker for the back of their student card. This period is determined by the team leader however a normal term begins end of February so we will allow student entrance discount up until (normally) the beginning of March.
Please double check with the supervisor or team leader if unsure.
The card needs to be valid the previous year before to aply.
e.g. If the student is showing a card with 2018 and we have just entered 2020, this doesn't allow student discount.

Very Important Volunteer Cards - COC

No concession for casual entrance.
Card holders receive a concession rate on memberships.

Card holder ONLY

The Cockburn ARC only allows discount for the card holder.
Any "partner name, dependant" listed will not be eligible for the discount.
Each patron must present their own concession card to receive concession entry rates.

Senior Card holders

The below card provides concession entry rates for casual patrons.
Concession rates will also apply to memberships applications.

Companion card

We don't have a limit on how many companion's are able to access with the companion.
This is not something we verbally advise however if a companion has 3 carers with him/her they are able to access with the card.
If no card present you can create a PGM account and allow the companion entry at ONCE and you must add notes that you’ve allowed them in at a discount rate without sighting proof of companion card and you made the patron aware that they must have the card with them next time.
