Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Coach & Grappling Gun'BJJ is for everyone but for different reasons. I'd love to help you discover yours'
Hey, I'm Welton! Originally from Malaysia, I moved to Australia in 2010, and my martial arts journey began after watching action films like Ip Man, The Karate Kid, and The Bourne Identity. Inspired by these movies, I decided to stop just watching and start training. In 2016, I discovered Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ), and while the road was challenging at first, I committed to showing up twice a week and adopted a "1% better every day" mindset.
Since then, I've trained consistently, competed at local and state-level competitions, and earned my brown belt. I've also had the privilege of coaching BJJ for the past two years, helping students at all stages of their BJJ journey. 🥋
I believe BJJ is for everyone, whether for self-defense, fitness, competition, or social connections. My teaching focuses on skill development in a fun, safe environment, with a strong emphasis on consistency and injury prevention. I aim to foster a welcoming atmosphere where students of all backgrounds can share the experience of learning and growing together.
Outside of BJJ, I work as an engineer and love traveling, exploring new cultures, and enjoying diverse cuisines. While I might not keep up with the Kardashians or the latest TikTok trends, I’m always in the loop on the latest BJJ techniques and trends.
If you're looking to develop discipline, patience, and self-defense skills, I'd love to help you discover the world of BJJ.
Let’s roll!
