Her Own Words
I joined the ARC before the centre opened and I had the typical feelings I used to have that kept me from gyms previously. I was worried about people watching me do weights, worried that others in the gym would be in better shape that I was. I was embarrassed.
But now I realise that there is every shape, size and age in the gym. I just didn’t have a balanced lifestyle, I wasn’t active enough, and it affected my personality, my social life, my relationships, most of all the relationship with myself. I told myself I didn’t have time. Now I’ve made time and I’m achieving some results. I’m 25kg lighter, I’m fit and I’m strong. I’m organised and I plan to succeed.
