We wish to provide our members and patrons with some background and an update on the Rocket slide, which has been out of action during the Summer holidays.
Back in November the ARC aquatics team encountered a maintenance issue with the slide. For the safety and wellbeing of our customers, it was decided that the Rocket should go offline until the issue was resolved.
While every effort was made to get the slide back online, it was unfortunately quite a complex situation. It required significant effort to firstly identify the exact cause of the issue.
Unfortunately, once identified, it could not be rectified by a local or even Australian supplier, so the aquatics team have been engaging directly with the manufacturer in Turkey.
As a result, contractors will be coming from Turkey shortly, which is the earliest that they were able to schedule in with us. Specific parts and equipment needed to resolve the situation also needed to be shipped internationally.
Due to the timing of this outage occurring during the Summer school holidays, the ARC team has implemented additional activations every day of the school holidays, included in the cost of casual entry.
We encourage our members and patrons to monitor the alerts tool on our website ongoing, which is kept up to date with the status of any planned or unplanned outages at the facility.
